Young Business Leaders Program

Applications Open for the Australia-Taiwan Young Business Leaders Program (YBL)

The Australia-Taiwan Young Business Leaders Program is expanding and upgrading, following the success of the pilot Australia-Taiwan Emerging Business Leaders Program in 2022.

This dynamic program, launched by the Australia-Taiwan Business Council with the support of the Australian Office, Taipei, offers a unique opportunity for young professionals working in global business, international trade and investment, and emerging technologies to fast-track their careers.

A Growing Economic Relationship

Taiwan was Australia’s 6th export market in 2023.  The economic relationship between the two economies is thriving – not only in the well-established sectors across natural resources, education, tourism, agribusiness, health and biotech – but also expanding rapidly into renewables and hydrogen, and critical-tech sectors.  New business ventures in investment and trade as well as people-to-people links are growing healthily. This is an exciting time to be part of this dynamic partnership!

Engage with Industry Leaders

For over 40 years, the Australia-Taiwan Business Council has been building strong relationships between business leaders in both economies. The program will offer participants direct access to these leaders and industry experts, providing  valuable insights and opportunities for networking and profile-building through a mix of online and on-site activities.

Who Can Apply?

The program is open to early- to mid-career professionals who have experience and/or interest in the Australia-Taiwan relationship. Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Committed to the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion;
  • Be committed to full participation in the program.

What’s Involved?
