Australia-Taiwan
Young Business Leaders Program 2027-2028

Applications Open for the Australia-Taiwan Young Business Leaders Program 2027–2028

The Australia-Taiwan Young Business Leaders Program is being expanded and enhanced, building on the proven success of the 2022 pilot and the demonstrated impact of the 2025–27 program.

This dynamic program, launched by the Australia-Taiwan Business Council (ATBC) and funded by the National Foundation for Australia–China Relations (NFACR) with support from the Australian Office, Taipei (AO), offers a unique opportunity for young professionals working in global business, international trade, and emerging technologies to fast-track their careers.

A Growing Economic Relationship

Taiwan was Australia’s 9th largest export market in 2025, reflecting a resilient and expanding economic partnership. The relationship continues to thrive not only across well-established sectors—natural resources, education, tourism, agribusiness, health, and biotechnology—but also in rapidly emerging fields such as renewable energy, critical technologies, and advanced manufacturing.

This is an exciting moment to be part of Australia-Taiwan engagement—a time when young leaders can contribute to, and benefit from, a relationship that is dynamic, strategic, and full of opportunity.

Engage with Industry Leaders

For over 40 years, the Australia-Taiwan Business Council (ATBC) has been building strong relationships between business leaders in both economies. The program will offer participants direct access to these leaders and industry experts, providing valuable insights and opportunities for networking and profile-building through a mix of online and in-country activities.

Who Can Apply?

The program is open to early- to mid-career professionals from industry and business who have experience and/or interest in the Australia-Taiwan relationship. Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Excellent communicators, including in cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary settings;
  • Committed to the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion;
  • Committed to full participation in the program.

What’s Involved?
